K&N KN-303 Motorcycle/Powersports High Performance Oil Filter

FEATURED K&N KN-303 Motorcycle/Powersports High Performance Oil Filter

  • O/E replacement oil filters for most cars, trucks, SUV’s, motorcycles, & ATV’s
  • 17 mm exposed nut designed for easy oil filter removal
  • Heavy duty construction for extreme conditions
  • Resin-impregnated filter media traps 99% of harmful contaminants
  • Anti-drainback valve (where applicable) eliminates dry starts, prevents oil from draining back into crankcase during engine shutdown

K&N powersports oil filters contain a modern synthetic filter media, designed for ultimate flow with less pressure drop, yet engineered for outstanding filtration. K&N powersports ‘spin-on’ oil filters feature a heavy-duty metal can. Most of these have a 17 mm nut affixed onto the end that allows for easy installation and removal. The 17 mm nut is crossed-drilled so racers can safety wire the filter to their bike.

I bought these and about to install in on my 07 Zx6r but then I found out that K&N HAS CHANGED MANUFACTURER. THESE ARE NOW MADE IN CHINA AND THEY ARE FALLING APARTS.
Several of my buddies use these K&N filters and they are leaking from the NUT. It start slow as first but as you ride it will dump all the oil on your bike and then on your tires. Then it will be extremely slippery and dangerous. You can loose your life when you crash.
I’m throwing mine away unused because it’s only 5$, no need to get a refund… My advice is to look for another brand filter and stay away from K&N for the motorcycle oil filters.

This K&N KN303C I use on my 2006 Yamaha Silverado. This is not the stock part as I have the “Oil Conversion Kit” on my motorcycle. The model motorcycle I have required that one has to unbolt the exhaust pipes to change the oil. Subsequently a “Conersion Kit” was made available so all one has to do is drain the oil and spin off the old oil filter and replace it at an easy access point. The filter is working well and is the same type that Yamaha sells for more at their dealer. Amazon is the best.

Made in china crap. Leaked from around nut. I only use my hand to tighten around the body and just use the nut for removal. These use to be good filters, since they switched manufacturing they are terrible. I have now switched to the much better HiFlo Filtro HF303RC, it also has the nut. Local tracks will not allow motorcycles to run these filters due to many leaking issues.
