Very easy to use if all you need is bike to bike communication. After reading product reviews and user manuals for all the leading bluetooth systems I chose the Packtalk. For intercom communication between two or more bikes it couldn’t be simpler. Just put the units in DMC mode, pair them to the pack creator, and start talking. When you turn them off and back on again they automatically connect to the pack. I only used them to talk to my wife on her own bike, and they worked flawlessly. I was also able to make a phone call to another rider that did not have intercom mode, but did have phone connectivity. It gets a little complicated when you want to listen to music or GPS, but I don’t use those features. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is the manual is not very good. You’re better off learning from YouTube videos than reading the manual.

Fantastic Product! My Wife & I love this comma system. Make sure When you get it, to watch Motogeek Freak’s youtube demo videos it will give you a visual on how to properly operate it. Just run with DMC mode all the time and you’ll be amazed. Don’t get the Tork XPro speakers they don’t work well with this system. We use our Bose Earbuds it’s the best sound, very loud & clear, we took out all the helmet speakers and just use the ear buds the speakers weren’t loud enough. Once you understand how to operate it, the system works very very well. I totally recommend it. ENJOY!

We have 4 units, they work well. Much better than the Senas we had when more than two riders are on the intercom. Why a 4 star review? They are not perfect but very close. I’d say the most frustrating thing about them is getting the volume right, maybe a future firmware will fix it.

We are using DMC mode and all 4 riders complain about this…
I wear ear plugs and despite the unit having more volume available, you can only manually turn it up so far. I’ve added spacers for the headphones, helped a a little but I’d still like to manually be able to increase the volume another 10% to 20%.
It is very difficult to balance the volume with the intercom. When the intercom comes on, whatever else is on does not get quieter, it just plays at the same time. So getting the balance right is a challenge to hear the music but it not be so loud you can’t hear the riders talking.
FM is unusable when the intercom is on. It’s just too quiet, hardly any sound at all even when volume is all the way up. If I turn off the intercom or am riding alone it sounds fine, but when intercom is added the FM volume drops by at least half.

    Other points:
The app (we use android) is great when it connects but I often find it does not connect to the headset. Bluetooth is connected, I can be listening to music etc.. but the app will not connect. If I stop riding, close the app, turn off the unit, go eat lunch or whatever, then come back, power up the unit, put the phone back on the handlebars then open the app, it will not connect to the unit 9 times out of 10. I can clear the app (terminate it) and then restart and it will then link up.

Range is a bit of a disappointment. I had hoped to get “miles” for range but in reality, two riders get about 1/2 mile line of sight then it deteriorates rapidly. At about 3/4 of a mile, no connection. On open road I can see a fellow rider 1 mile back in the distance, we will not have intercom. The connecting through riders works, but is still limited by the individual links.

But, it’s not all bad. When connected the intercom is crystal clear. When no one is talking, there is no noise or static. The units feel solid and fit on the helmets well. We have two Schuberths, a Shoei and an HJC. Install wasn’t bad but I will say fitting them to the Schuberth required the glue on pads and routing the wires as a bit fiddly, but it works well.
