Yema is a company regards the comfort of helmet as the most important thing. With 30 years’ experience of producing motorcycle helmets and advanced production technology, Yema has got closer and closer to its target by making the helmets so comfortable that just like a part of body.
YM-925 is a new helmet launched this year, which gets highly attention and attracts a lot of resources and energy. The straight and chiseled lines filled the shell with power and passion. And the point is that the quick remove system of external visor can remove the visor quickly and conveniently with a button instead of a screwdriver.

I challenge you to find a more feature-filled helmet for the money. I wish you a lot of luck in doing it. So far I have had this helmet on (the matte black variety) for over 2,300 miles of riding, so I have a good idea of how it performs. I will provide both the bad and the good, with the list of bad first because it is extremely short.

    The Bad:
The optics fog up easily. Be prepared to crack the visor slightly at stop lights to allow for a little air to keep it fog-free.
Closing the air vents does not completely prevent air from entering the helmet. This can lead to a cold head in the late fall.
The chin curtain could be slightly lower to assist on colder days.

    The Good:
The drop-down sun visor. It operates smoothly. It is a perfect tint level so as to not interfere with your vision. It stays put when it needs to.
The optics are clear, even though as mentioned in the bad that they fog easily. Surface is easy to clean with a soft microfiber towel.
The vents provide plenty of air, and are not overly noisy even 50+ mph.
The fit and finish are excellent. Visor closes with a click and opens easily. Surface is smooth has a quality appearance and feel.
The inside liner is snug but does not smash your face (as long as you size correctly).
The liner snaps in place and is easy to remove and re-insert.
It is very comfortable, even on rides exceeding an hour or more.

I can’t say enough about this helmet. Go search on helmets with this same feature set, especially a sun-visor that either drops down or is integrated into the face shield, and you will see helmets 3-4, and even 5 times more expensive than this one. At 3.7 pounds, even helmets in the $350-400 range aren’t any lighter. This is a DOT-rated helmet. Always make sure whatever you buy is DOT approved and has that certification on the inside liner; not just an external sticker.

This is a great buy and I will buy again from Yema. Here’s hoping they provide more designs and maybe some fog-free upgrades.

My head size was 24 inches above the eyebrows and above the ears, at the widest section of my head (as measured by someone else). This correlates to an XL size helmet, but at the smaller end of the size range. This helmet is very slightly loose until I tighten the strap all the way, then the helmet moves along with my skin, indicating a perfect fit.

In other words, have someone else measure your head, and order the correct size and you should be fine.

Now for the Pros and Cons!

    Pros:
    1. Visor is very clear
    2. Helmet feels very solid
    3. Knob to flip the sun-shade visor is sturdy
    4. Vents are easy to move and open
    5. Clear visor has a nice lift-tab on the bottom left
    6. Front face of the helmet picks all the way up, which makes everything easier to hear (ie: MSF course instructor)
    7. Material isn’t that bad to wear
    8. Vents do a good job keeping the visor from fogging. Not perfect, but good.

    Neutrals
    1. Heavy like every helmet

    Cons
    1. Hard to find switches initially by feel
    2. Switch to lift up chin section is hard to use and located in a hidden spot under the chin
    3. Straps would be better if they were velcro or ratchet style

Attractive helmet with nice features. Well packaged in protective bag and shipping box.

Really like the modular feature! And seems like decent latch/release mechanism. Built-in retractable sun visor is a nice touch. Not the best optics but helps cut the glare in a pinch without hassling within glasses.

Removable liner but questionable quality … transferred black smudges to top of my bald head and leaves marks after 20 minutes of riding.

Not sure how the flip up visor is going to hold up over time. Others have written about it notbstayingbtight and looking clips. Mine is feeling looser and not sure how to tighten.

Visor fogs up in cool weather when not moving but that is typical and a quick flip clears it up.

Total nit pick but wish the Yema logos were stickers.

    Great price!
